Operations Manager, Confidential Oil Company

A Privately Owned Oil Company in Angola is looking for seasoned oil and gas personnel with 10+ years of experience for an onshore field operations’ contract it has in Angola.
These roles are to begin between early June and end of July working on a rotation of 31 days in Angola, and 25 days off for the 1 year renewable contract. Competitive salary will be paid.

Main Responsibilities

Ensuring achievement of the production targets.
Increasing the production capacity by improving the performance.
Developing and monitoring the operational expenses.
Taking corrective actions to rectify variances
Developing new strategies to increase production with safe and cost-efficient methods.
Ensuring that adequate safety norms are used by site personnel.
Operating the oil and gas fields in a profitable and optimal manner.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in oil and gas sector is essential.
Relevant experience with some experience in a supervisory position gives an edge.
Knowledge on production engineering.
In-depth knowledge on best oil and gas field procedures and practices.
Understanding various processes, such as dewatering, separation, and fiscal metering.
Problem solving abilities.
Fluency in spoken and written English is imperative. Portuguese is a plus but not required.
Excellent command on computer operations is essential.
Experience in onshore and offshore field facilities is required.
Proven ability to work in a multi-functional team environment to achieve set goals in a cost-effective manner.
